Rakesh Biswas, MD

Dr. Rakesh Biswas is a fellowship trained, board certified hematology and medical oncology physician. Dr. Biswas received his medical degree from Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, Virginia. He completed his residency at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia, where he was Chief Resident in his final year and went on to complete his fellowship training in hematology/oncology at Inova Schar Cancer Institute.

Prior to joining Capital Health, Dr. Biswas worked at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Jefferson Health in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as a medical oncologist, with a clinical focus on gastroenterology and thoracic medicine.

Dr. Biswas is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American College of Physicians.
