About Robert Remstein, DO, MBA, FACP
Dr. Robert Remstein is a primary care internal medicine specialist who wears two hats. He is a practicing physician working at Capital Health Primary Care – Newtown. In that role, he is helping to establish Capital Health in Pennsylvania and care for many of his former patients who live in and around Lower Bucks County. Dr. Remstein enjoys caring for adults of all ages, but has a keen interest in seniors and helping them remain healthy into their retirement years.
Besides providing direct patient care, he is Chief Academic Officer and Designated Institutional Official at Capital Health. In that role, he oversees the Graduate Medical Education Program at Capital Health, which is developing the next generation of health care leaders. The Graduate Medical Education Program currently consists of residency programs in emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry and transitional year.
Prior to his current position, Dr. Remstein served as vice president of Accountable Care, where he helped develop Capital Health’s outpatient network, and vice president of Medical Affairs at Capital Health. He has been a member of the Capital Health Medical Staff for more than 40 years, serving in many voluntary leadership positions. His background as a physician practicing in the community, coupled with his successful experience in working with his colleagues on the Capital Health Medical Staff on matters ranging from the clinical to administrative, uniquely qualifies him for his important positions.
Dr. Remstein received his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center, PA. He previously served as medical director of Henry J. Austin Health Care Center in Trenton, NJ, a founding member and past president of the Trenton Health Team, and a founding member of Mercer Internal Medicine Associates in Pennington, NJ.
