About Douglas Weinstein, MD
Dr. Weinstein obtained his medical degree at Weill Cornell, NYC. He completed medicine residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX and gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Maryland/NIH program. From 2011-2015, he was a teaching attending at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, where he was the founder of a multidisciplinary Motility Center of Excellence and active member of the University of Pennsylvania Esophageal Group.
Dr. Weinstein has published on motility and acid related disorders and has delivered many presentations on the topic.
Dr. Weinstein sub-specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of motility disorders, including achalasia, other esophageal disorders, gastroparesis, small bowel dysmotility, constipation and fecal incontinence. He is proficient in capsule and deep enteroscopy for recurrent GI bleeding. He also treats all aspects of digestive and liver diseases.
