About Roy Sauberman, MD
Dr. Roy Sauberman received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He completed his residency and internship at New York Hospital – Cornell University Medical Center in New York City. He completed his fellowship training in cardiology at Columbia – Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and cardiac electrophysiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology.
His current clinical interests include:
Cardiac electrophysiology studies +/- 3-dimensional electroanatomical mapping
Radiofrequency ablation of supraventricular tachycardia (AVNRT, AVRT, WPW, AT)
Radiofrequency ablation of atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, AV junction
Radiofrequency ablation of ventricular premature complexes, ventricular tachycardia
Transseptal catheterization
Intracardiac echocardiography
Pacemaker implantation, upgrade and replacement
Single-chamber, dual-chamber, biventricular, leadless, and His bundle pacemakers
Defibrillator implantation, upgrade and replacement
Single-chamber, dual-chamber, biventricular, and subcutaneous defibrillators
Cardiac device clinic management (including remote monitoring)
Cardiac resynchronization therapy optimization
Left atrial appendage occluder device (WATCHMAN) implantation
Prior to joining Capital Health – Cardiology Specialists, Dr. Sauberman has been in private practice throughout New Jersey for almost 25 years, most recently at Mercer Bucks Cardiology and The Arrhythmia Institute in Lawrenceville and Robbinsville, New Jersey and Newtown, Pennsylvania. He previously served in leadership roles at health systems throughout New Jersey, including director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Jersey City Medical Center – RWJBarnabas Health. He is a fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society and the American College of Cardiology.
